Tiran Island is located in Sharm el-Sheikh, which is a resort town on the Red Sea coast of Egypt. It is located in the north-eastern part of the Red Sea and is one of the popular destinations for tourists visiting Sharm el-Sheikh.

Tiran Island is famous for its unique nature and rich underwater world. It is part of the Ras Mohammed Marine National Park, which is recognized as one of the most beautiful snorkeling and diving spots. These areas have many coral reefs that attract divers and snorkelers from all over the world.

Tiran Island has been the subject of territorial disputes between Egypt and Saudi Arabia in the past. However, in 2017, Egypt and Saudi Arabia reached an agreement under which the island was transferred to Saudi Arabia. This agreement was adopted after lengthy negotiations between the two countries.

You will also see the entire main coast of Sharm El Sheikh and the site of the shipwreck of the Cypriot merchant ship “Lara”, which sank on a reef between the coast and the island in 1985.

The day will be spent relaxing, outdoors, admiring the underwater world and a professional instructor. Please note that landing on the island does not take place, since it is the territory of another state.

The program can be purchased with diving +$7 for one dive, +$14 for two (information below).

What is included in the excursion program:

• Transfer from the hotel at approximately 08:00 (the exact time will be announced after booking; the road to the port takes from 15 to 60 minutes, depending on the location of the hotel);
• At the port you will have the opportunity to rent masks, fins, vests (if necessary, for an additional fee);
• The yacht leaves the central marina towards the island at approximately 10:00 (depending on police permission)
• All day sailing on a yacht on the open sea;
• Two snorkeling stops on the reefs, each lasting about one hour (at the discretion of the guide on site). The guide will show and talk about marine life right in the water; even a child can cope with it if they have a flotation vest. (Diving is possible for an additional fee – the price is listed below.);
• Lunch on the yacht (buffet) + soft drinks throughout the day (tea, coffee, carbonated drinks);
• Return to the port around 17:00;
• Transfer back to the hotel at approximately 18:00 (depending on the location of the hotel).

The price of the excursion includes:

What is not included in the price of the excursion:

• Masks, fins and swim vests (can be rented on site – $2-4 per item, check price on site);
• Cost +$7 one dive; +$14 two dives – the price is valid only when booking from the website, the price is higher on the spot, about $15-$20 for one dive). The duration of one dive per person is up to 15 minutes (including preparation) and the depth is up to 7 meters.
• Children up to 5 years old inclusive – Free!

Additional Information:

• Please note that sometimes groups may not be large enough for this excursion (usually in winter). Ras Mohamed and the White Island are always packed for excursions;
• Diving for PADI Open Water certified holders. Cost +$50 upon request for one dive; +$55 upon request for two dives – the price is valid only when booking from the website, the price is higher on site). The duration of one dive is up to 40 minutes and the depth is up to 25 meters;
• Please note that if you cancel your pre-booked diving directly at the training site, the payment made is non-refundable.
• It is necessary to send photos of passports of all people to obtain a tourist permit to travel to the tourist police;
• The capacity of the yachts is from 20 to 40 people, the yachts are spacious, there is enough space for everyone, there is a capacity limit by the tour police;
• It is prohibited to carry alcoholic beverages on board;

Important! We kindly ask you not to go up to the upper deck wet. First, you need to dry yourself with a towel. This is required for safety reasons to avoid slipping on the stairs;

A copy or photo of your passport, swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, water. We also recommend bringing your own mask and snorkel. Warm clothes in the winter, there may be wind.
