An excursion to Petra from Sharm el-Sheikh is one of the most popular and unusual trips. The journey begins at night, when tourists leave their hotels by bus towards the border with Israel.
Petra is an ancient rock-cut city in Jordan that is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. The main attraction is Al Khazneh (Treasury), known for its magnificent architecture. Also worth seeing are the Rock Facades, the Amphitheater, the Royal Tombs and other amazing structures.
Next, the path leads towards the small village of Ouedi Musa, where the Petra Archaeological Park is located, which was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and is famous for its beautiful canyons, gorges and the enormous cultural heritage created by the highly developed Nabataean civilization.
